The Truth About:

Welcome to Celebrating Financial Freedom

When it comes to young people and money, many parents take the attitude of “they will learn how to handle money when they're older. After all they are just kids, they should enjoy life.”
The truth is that most parents don’t teach their kids about money because they were not taught well when they were younger. Many adults feel like they don’t understand money very well and that causes the subject of money to be taboo in their household. This kind of thinking is what keeps generation after generation shackled by the bondage of debt that usually gets started at a young age. Let’s look at some facts:
- Almost 20% of all people that declare bankruptcy every year are under 24 years old. And that percentage is growing.
- More than 80% of college seniors start their working life with credit card debt that follows them into adulthood. They are starting off in the hole financially.
- The average college senior is carrying over $3,000 in credit card debt. This does not include other debt such as student loans.
- Only 45% of high school seniors can properly balance a checkbook.
In a country where 80% of graduating college seniors have credit card debt and student loans before they even have a job, teaching kids about money is something that must be done if you want your kids to succeed financially when they are adults. If they start out their young adulthood in debt, that debt usually takes many years to overcome and can even stay with them throughout their entire adult life, building as they get older and have more financial responsibilities.
Celebrating Financial Freedom will show you:
- How to teach your child good money habits.
- How to begin your child on the path toward a career that they will love (not just settling for a job they hate).
- Why giving an allowance may not be a good thing.
- How to gradually develop responsible money behaviors in your child as they get older.
Just by teaching your kids how to handle their money better than the average American does, you can start them off on a much better footing that will absolutely ensure that they will succeed financially when they are adults. Just by learning to think and do things a little differently your child can be in extraordinary financial shape compared to everyone else his or her age.
