Everybody wants a high yield investment that will supercharge their investment account. But the promise of high returns also comes with high risk. The more risk an investment has tied to it, the more likely is that you will lose your shirt.
But there is one investment that always pays off in a big way if you follow through with it.
What is this investment with such an incredible return?
It’s Investing in Yourself.
Investing in yourself is all about improving “you”- your skills, knowledge level, health, and any other part of your life that will improve your ability to earn more money, make better decisions, and lead a more fulfilling life.
Little Investment Gets Little Return
I often talk to people that express to me that they are “stuck” in their life, their career, or their financial situation. They tell me they just don’t know how to move forward.
When I probe a little deeper, I find that most of these people are doing little to nothing to invest in improving their life.
They are just showing up in their job, at their church, and in their relationships. It’s the same day in and day out.
Nothing ever changes.
I tell them that if they want to break out of the mold, if they want to go higher, and be better, they have to make an investment.
In order for change to happen, self investment is something you absolutely must do if you want to see great returns.
5 Investments That Pay Off Bigtime
I believe there are 5 areas you can invest into that can bring about tremendous growth in your life, career, and your finances.
You should:
Invest In Your Skills
Find new skills to master that make you more valuable at work or at your side hustle. Master those skills that your coworkers won’t take the time to learn while they sit around and complain about why they’re bored and not making more money. These skills can range from public speaking to getting a special certification, and anything else that will help you outshine your coworkers.
Invest in Knowledge
The world is in a constant state of change. You have to learn new skills or you will get left behind. Developing your knowledge and skills allows you to stay ahead of the curve and be more effective and more valuable in every area of your life. Go back to school, read plenty of nonfiction books, take courses, go to seminars and conferences that will keep you moving ahead and make you more valuable and relevant in today’s world.
Invest in Your Attitude
Get around positive people and limit time with those that drag you down. Go to church and get involved instead of just sitting in the pew. Pray, read the bible, give, and invest your time in people and activities outside yourself. It’ll do wonders for your outlook on life.
Invest in Your Health
You can’t be very effective if your energy is low and you feel like crap most of the time. Eat right, exercise, and visit your doctor regularly. When your body is working at its optimum level, you can run circles around all the people around you that don’t pay attention to those things and don’t have the energy to take things up a notch.
Invest in Relationships
Social interactions are a huge part of improving your quality of life. Invest in keeping your spouse happy, spend quality time with your kids, connect with friends, and get around people who are where you want to be in life. Learn from these individuals every chance you get. The right relationships can accelerate your life exponentially when you hook up with the right people.
The High Yield Investment That Works
Making an investment of your time and money into any or all of these areas is always an excellent use of your resources. You will always achieve a return on that investment exponentially enhances your life, your career, your money, and your happiness.
You can’t just live life passively and expect great things to come your way. Get your butt up off the couch, turn off the TV and the IPad, and start investing in yourself.
God created us to be doers and to seek higher things in order to make ourselves better and the rest of the world a better place to be.
So be relentless in pursuing these things. Make the investment and you will get high yield returns far beyond what you ever dreamed possible.

I am consistently working on starting my own business. I think about it most of the day and know, intuitively, that’s it’s my time to shine and become wealthier and more successful. I’m now in meditation-mode as much as possible, manifesting my new fortune and relishing in the fruits of my labor. I’ve worked hard and diligently to get here…I won’t stop now. I’m so close!!! Thanks for the positive insight. Much needed! 🙂

Awesome Nick! Continue working hard and being strategic. Too many people just dream but never take the action steps necessary to actually get the job done. Sounds like you’re on your way. By the way, you might like a little dose of inspiration from a speech I recently did at FinCon (The Financial Bloggers Conference). It’s only 5 minutes long but really packs a punch!
